HOW TO EAT, MOVE AND BE HEALTHY:

Your inability to turn down seconds may be in your DNA. One in six people carry the “obesity gene” – a variation that boosts risk by around 70 percent – have more of the hormone ghrenlin, which keeps the brain’s “I’m full” light from switching on. Until scientists create drugs to suppress ghrenlin, the best advice is to hit the gym. Exercise will help keep the hormone in check.

You will be hungrier on days you exercise – make sure you burn more than you eat:

During or immediately after a workout, your appetite will often be suppressed, but a little later on hunger hormone levels increase and satiety hormones decrease, making you super hungry.

To avoid unnecessary nibbling, coordinate your workout times with your meals/snacks, so that finishing up your exercise session coincides with your next regular eating time. This will help avoid skipping a meal, or eating an extra one.

Your post-workout meal should be rich in carbs and protein. Also drink enough water during and after your session, since thirst is often mistaken for hunger.

With this in mind weigh yourself before and after your workout to calculate how much fluid loss occurred, then slowly drink the same amount of water as your lost weight

Levels of the chemical were eight times higher in people who consumed hot food from plastic bowls versus ceramic ones. Long-term exposure to melamine may increase the risk of kidney stones. Thus the real problem is what’s in the spoon, not on it.
